Similarities and Differences between
Vegetable cells and Animal
cells
- Both cells have a plasmatic
membrane, which is responsible
for the transportation of
substances in and out of the cell
- Animals cells and vegetable cells
have cytoplasm, where the
organelles are located and cells
functions take place
- Ribosomes and nucleus are an
equal characteristic of animal
cells and vegetable cells
- Both vegetable cells and
animal are packed with
lysosomes, organelles in
charge of cell digestion
- Vacuoles and mitochondries
are also a common
characteristic of animal cells
and animal cells
- DIFFERENCES
- Plant cells are autotrophic
because they can make their
own food . Animal cells are
heterotrophic because they
can not make their food.
- Vegetable cells got plastidies
(that accumulate many
substances) and animal cells
don’t
- Vegetable cells contain
chloroplasts, responsible for the
green color of plants; and animal
cells don’t have this characteristic
- Vegetable cells possess cell wall, to
protect the plasmatic membrane, and
animal cells do not have wall cell
- Animal cells have Glycogen and is
exclusive to the animal cell. Plant cells
have no Glycogen.
