Physics 2.1
- Distance-Time graphs
- Gradient of the line represents objects speeed
- Steeper the line, faster the object
- Speed=Distance/time
- The speed of an object is distance in 1s
- Velocity and acceleration
- Velocity is speed in a given direction
- If an object changes speed it changes velocity
- Acceleration=final velocity-initial velocity/time
Anmerkungen:
- If the value is negative they are decelerating
- Velocity-time graph
- The gradient represents acceleration
- If line is negative object is decelerating
- If the line is horizontal, acceleration=0 so steady speed
- The area under the line is distance travelled
- Using Graphs
- Gradient on distance-time graph=speed
- Gradient on velocity-time graph=acceleration
- Distance travele= area under velocity-time graph
