- Distance= Speed x Time
- Speed= Distance/Time
- Time= Distance/Speed
- Average Speed= Total Distance/Total Time
- Average speed is measured over an entire journey
- In order to do this you have to learn the formula as it is not on the
formula sheet
- Distance
- total length of the time travelled
- distance travelled in a journey can never decrease
- it can be measured using something like a surveyors wheel.
- Distance can't be negative
- Distance tells us the distance but NOT the direction
- Displacement
- displacement is the total straight line distance from your starting point to
your current position
- Displacement also has direction
- Displacement can go in a negative direction
- Displacement tells us the direction as well as the distance
