                1. Livestock is killed, coastal habitats eroded or flooded
                  1. Heavy rain causes lanslides in unstable hills
                  2. Secondary
                    1. Homelessness
                      1. Lack of sanitation; diseases spread
                        1. Unemployment
                          1. Food shortage because of damaged crops
                            1. Psycological problems
                          2. Drought

                              1. Vegetation dies
                                1. People and animals die from dehydration
