  1. Classification of Objects
    1. the student needs to learn how to group objects by a specific feature or attribute
      1. Ex: a number of pencils and rubbers are presented and the student needs to group them
      2. Non-mathematical skills
        1. Pattern Recognition
          1. Minecraft blocks - green and red alternate blocks
            1. Jump and clap then clap and jump
            2. Matching and 1 to 1 correspondence
              1. To be able to match one set to another sets up to one to once correspondence
                1. MATCH OBJECTS: Sorting PEGS in colours or by shape
                  1. SETS: School uniform top, corresponding trousers
                    1. 1 to 1 CORRESPONDENCE: for every top, one pair of trousers
                      1. Students wan to play: how many balls are needed for each to have one
                      2. Ordering and sequencing
                        1. Putting events ideas and numbers in logical order
                          1. PICTURE SEQUENCING: Cut sequential pictures that interest the student. Start with 2 pictures then increase to 3, 4 and so on. Tell the student to put them in order
                          2. Spatial Orientation & Space Organisation
                            1. An idea of size and space
                              1. Pick the pen from underneath the desk

                                2. Visualisation
                                  1. Story sums - place a drawing
                                    1. Resources with more pictures and less words
