92. People want more choices and information than they can process

The mindset of modern times is to have as many options as possible, although it’s not very effective to have so many choices that it’s impossible to keep up. This can be referred to as overchoice, where there’s so many possibilities available that it’s harder for a final decision to be made, in a reasonable amount of time. Limiting options to avoid “information overload” for a product can help the end-user make a decision that’s more relevant to their needs. Another benefit of not have endless choices is that there is more time to improve each options quality and functionality.
