The sample question asks you specifically about the language used to describe Mable's life- so you shouldn't use the language to describe anything else.3. you need to use P.E.E.D for this question- every point you make should be backed up with an example that's fully explained and developed.4. you also need to use a range of technical terms to describe the writer's techniques.5. To get the marks you need to write about all the bullet points under the question.

Question 3 is about the structure of the text- you need to talk about how the writer has used structure to make the text ore interesting to read.2. this question covers the whole text, so make sure you talk about the overall structure of the extract as you're answering the question. 3. However, you should also comment on the position of specific sentences and the structure of paragraphs- aim to comment on a range of structural features. 4. To get top marks you need to talk about all the bullet points.

The sample question gives you a statement, which has two parts to it- you need to give your opinion on how the writer shows Mabel's feelings, and how this makes you feel. 3. You also need to state how much you agree or disagree with the statement.4. Use P.E.E.D and make sure you include technical terms to get top marks 5. The bullet points under the question give you guidance about what you need to include in your answer.
