As well as state schools, state religious schools, and Arab and Druze schools, the Israeli national school system also recognizes private progressive schools such as Democratic, Montessori, and Waldorf, which are partly funded by the government. Indeed, Israel's percentage of democratic schools is one of the highest worldwide!
