Considered avant garde " The Naughty Boy" of music. Most enduring music was composed in this time 2 - 1911 - 1949 - Style changed as a reaction against what he percieved as extreme tendencies of his time by Schoenburg and others. Became more conservative and romantic and less bold. Critics called him reactionary. This music wasn't as popular. |
