1st Person Point of View (POV) The speaker of the story is part of the story. Readers see words like, "I" and "Me" Example: Under the Mesquite
2nd Person Point of View (POV) The narrator is speaking directly to the reader. The speaker is actually talking to you. Example: A cookbook
3rd Person POV The speaker of the story is observing the story and telling what is going on. The speaker is NOT in the story, but narrating the story. Example: Harry Potter.
