Diuretics - increase urine production which rids the body of excess fluids and salt, decreasing blood plasma volume, lowering blood pressure.
How do statins reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease? What are common side effects of drugs aimed at reducing the risk of CVD? Statins inhibit the enzyme involved in the production of LDLs. Common side effects include dizziness, headaches, tiredness, nausea and muscle weakness.
