The question about sequence and identifying the next number: "14, 10, 8, ..." is hard. The formula, is the previous number divided in half with 3 added to it. Wouldn't that make the next number 7? But that's not an answer choice...
I don't understand how this question is done - I got "3y+2" as an answer by substituting y=2x into 8x-2x+2 and getting 4y-y+2 which I then simplified.
What did I do wrong?
