Phishing Disadvantage: sending an email to a user falsely claiming to be a legitimate company to scam the user into providing information, such as personal information and bank account numbers on a bogus website. The details could then be used for identity theft.
Spam Disadvantage: Mulitple versions of the same email.
Group Email Advantage: When sending an email you can CC people in so that the email is sent to multiple people without you having to type out the email numerous times.
Accessibility Advantage: With Internet connection, people can send and check their emails all over the world, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
Attachments Advantage: You can attach files to emails which you can then send to mulitiple people at one time. Disadvantage: Viruses may be attached to the email without you knowing.
Viruses Disadvatage: Viruses can be sent by email which could then harm the recievers device if they are not fully protected.
The Environment Advantage: Email saves paper which helps preserve the environment.
Automated emails Advantage: If you are not able to respond to an email, you can send an automated one which will send instantly to anyone who emails you usually explaining why you cannot reply and when you will be able to.
Checking your E-mails regularly Disadvantage: People may not check their emails regularly meaning they could miss out on urgent messages.
Crowded Inbox Disadvantage: The email inbox will get crowded over time if people do not manage them efficiently, this could mean people could accidentally ignore important e-mails.
