Cautious | Being careful. Thinking before making a decision or taking action. |
Destiny | the unchangeable future for a person. The course of events of a person's life that has already been decided from their birth. |
Devoted | Loving or caring for someone so much that you will do whatever you can to make them happy. |
Elizabethan | From the period 1558-1603 when Queen Elizabeth I ruled in England. Many of Shakespeare's plays were written during this time. |
Enduring | Lasting for a long time. Strong and not easily changed or broken. |
Fued | A fight or strong disagreement between two people, families or groups that has lasted for a long time. |
Fickle | Someone who changes their mind frequently. |
Filial piety | Respect from a daughter or son for their parents. |
Hot-headed | Easily angered or offended. Always wanting to fight. |
Impetuous | Taking action without thinking about it first. |
Fate | A force or power in nature that decides how life and events will turn out. |
Infatuated | In love with someone so that they are the only thing that you think of. You may not know the person well but you think they are wonderful. |
Law and order | The rules that keep a society peaceful and safe for the people. |
Mature | Thinking and behaving like a sensible adult, not a child. |
Parental expectations | The hopes that parents have in mind for their children. What parents want their children to do or achieve in their life. |
Patriarch | The male in charge of a family or a tribe. |
Tragedy | A terrible and sad event that could have been avoided if it wasn't for human mistakes. |
