"Akaratler Row houses" were built by the architect Sarkis Balyan in the 1870s. The 36th row house is really important because it is the first house Mustafa Kemal stayed in when he first come to Istanbul. The house has turned imto a museum and anyone can visit.
Besiktas Bazaar is the heart of Ortakoy, it's lively with its beautiful shops and happy people surrounding it. Besiktas Bazaar also is the place where the famous supporters of the the football team "Besiktas Jimnastik Kulubu" meet. The Black Eagle Statue which is in the middle of the place is the symbol of the Besiktas Bazaar.
"Ortaköy Square" is one of the most visited places in Istanbul by the tourists. Many people come here to enjoy the lively atmosphere and view the fascinating landscape while eating a traditional Turkish dish "kumpir" Pigeons are the real owners of thr Ortakoy Square, so please don't forget to feed them if you happen to visit this place!
Beşiktaş Scaffold is the place where you can take on board to go to the Asian side or visit the magnificing Prince Islands. Although mostly, younger generation meet up there to enjoy the view and feed the seagulls with bread insteaad of travelling.
The Bosphorus Bridge is the bridge that connects the Asian and the European Sides.
Yıldız Park is a lovely park located in Beşiktaş right in the heart of Istanbul. With old Ottoman houses, scenic paths, flowers, duck ponds and tree-covered hills, it’s a picturesque place for a relaxing picnic. In Yıldız Park there are two famous pavilions: Malta and Çadır Köşkü.
The Yıldız Palace is a museum in which Ottoman Sultans lived before. The museum is really breath-taking and is waiting for the visitors!
The story of the bittersweet Çırağan Palace still manage to impress everyone in just one glance. The Palace was burned down in a massive fire in 1910. It was rebuilt in 1990 by the name Çırağan Palace Kempinsky Istanbul as a hotel and now open to the visitors. The old palace's beautiful pure gold doors' some pieces where given to Kaiser Wilhelm when he visited the palace. And now it is displayed in the Berlin Museum.
The Çırağan Street is a beautiful street with trees planted on both sides of the road. It connects Beşiktaş and Ortaköy and it is the road I take everyday to go to school.
Barbaros Bulvarı is a really busy street with people trying to reach their home, work and school. You can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Bosphorus as you walk down the street.
The Vodafane Arena Stadium used to be called Ismet Inonu Stadium before it was rebuilt. It is in front of the beautiful Dolmabahçe Palace.
Dolmabahçe Palace was built by the 31st Ottoman Emperor Sultan Abdülmecit. It's a really huge palace with 285 rooms, 43 living rooms, 68 bathrooms. The founder of the Turkish Rebuplic Mustafa Kemal Atatürk passed away in this palace on November 10th, 1938
Ihlamur Kasrı, was also built by Sultan Abdülmecit. You can enjoy a rich, delicious breakfast and feel like a sultan.
