My Thoughts:
Authentic assessment is the best way to assess what students know
Real world experience is the best indicator of understanding
Importance of authentic instruction
Research backed- Ken Goodman, Yetta Goodman, Stephen Krashen, Lev Vygotsky, etc
Traditional Assessment has more clout, because it reduces what students "know" to a score
This can be done on a larger scale that authentic assessment- example ACCESS testing
