                1. why?
                  1. The first name of our protagonist character.
                    1. Give the audience a small clue into the characters name, however no justification seems intriguing and mysterious.
                      1. Old fashioned name - fits in with the mis-en-scene of the horror genre.
                        1. Full stop makes the title short and snappy - correlating to the action in the film.
                          1. The meaning of 'Mabel' is beautiful, loving and loveable - this is a contrast and juxtaposition to the typical character in the Horror genre. However I think it fits with the mis-en-scene of the innocent protagonist character we wish to portray.
                        2. We conducted a small in-class survey to see what title our class mates and audience preferred.
                          1. It is important for our audience to like the film title as it is the initial thing that our production will be judged on. Often the name of the film is what sways the audience to watch the film or not.
                            1. Our audience said that they didn't like the film title 'The House at the end of the Road' because it was too long winded, cliche and similar to another existing film title.
                              1. "Innocence" was also unpopular as our audience said they didn't think it seemed relevant to fit with our synopsis
                                1. We received feedback from our audience about the title "Haunted Adoption" - they said they didn't like this name as it gives too much away about the film synopsis and makes the storyline seem predictable.
                                  1. Initially, we thought of the name "The Happening", however we didn't realise there is already an existing film with this title, therefore we couldn't include this in our survey due to copy right.
                                    1. "The Nightmare of Mabel was second most popular and our audience said they liked this title as it seems intriguing and exciting.
