  1. Steroisomers are compounds with the same structural formula but a different arrangement of atoms in space
    1. E/Z is a type in which different groups attached to each C in a C=C may be arranged differently due to the restrictions of the = bond
      1. cis-trans is a type in which a non hydrogen group on each C in C=C cis is Z ans trans is E
    2. Structural isomers are molecules with the same molecular formula but with different structural arrangements of atoms

        1. Draw out the longest chain first, the shorten the chain or move the functional group
          1. If there is a C=C double bond, question the possibility of cis/trans
            1. Will not require Cahn-Ingold Prelog nomenclature
