Chinese tones
There are four tones in the Chinese language in order to distinguish the meaning of the words.
Third tone
- 海/hǎi
Fourth tone
- 气/qì
Second tone
- 茶/ chá
First tone
- 黑/ hēi
There is also a fifth tone, which is a neutral tone,usually found in the final syllable of the word.
