  1. Endogenous Process

    Annotations:

    • Endogenous processes are large scale processes that transform landforms. These forces result in the movement of crustal plates.
    • Crustal plates move towards each other and form an elevation, they are convergent plates. Responsible for formation of mountains and deep sea trenches.
    • When crustal plates move away from each other , they are called divergent plates.  Responsible for Rift Valleys.
    1. Exogenous Process

      Annotations:

      • Exogenous processes involve forces on or above the Earth's surface like rivers, ice, wind and atmospheric changes. These forces are responsible for breaking of rocks, and abrasion and erosion of the surface resulting in the modification of major relief features like mountains, valleys, plateaus, etc
