3. Continue monitoring BUN and Cr if over 65

2. Metabolized in the liver
Adverse effects
1. Hypoglycemia
2. Nausea
3. Heartburn
4. Photosensitivity
Contraindications
1. Sulfa allergy
2. Hepatic/Renal Impairment
3. Pregnancy/Lactation
4. Diabetic ketoacidosis
Drug interactions
1. Beta-blockers (suppress insulin release)
2. Disulfiram-like reaction
3. Drugs that can interact to cause hypoglycemia
  1. sulfonamide antibiotics
  2. Acute alcohol ingestion
  3. NSAIDs
  4. cimetidine (Tagamet)
