On the evening of that same
day, Jesus said to his disciples
Let's go across to the other side of the lake.
Left the crowd
Other boats were there too
Strong winds blew
Waves spilled on the boat
Jesus sleeping on the pillow
Teacher, don't you care that we are going to die?
Jesus stood up and commanded
Wind to be quiet
Waves to be still
Why were you afraid? Have you still no faith?
The disciples were stunned and asked "Who is this
man? Even the wind and the waves listen to him."

Pleased with you
Desert for 40 days
Satan and wild animals
Angels
Caesarea Philippi
Jesus and disciples were at villages near CP
On the way Jesus asked them
Tell me, who do people say I am?
Eiljah, John the Baptist, one of
the prophets
What about you? Who do you say I am?
Peter: You are the Messaiah
Do not tell anyone
Son of Man, suffer much,
be rejected by elders,
chief priest, teachers of
the law
Put to death, 3 days
later, rise to life
Peter rebuked him
Jesus rebuked - Get away from me Satan, your
thoughts don't come from God but from human nature!
The Transfiguration
Six days later
Peter, James and John
High mountain alone
Jesus changed - clothes shining
white, whiter than anyone in
the world could wash them
Elijah and Moses talking with Jesus
Peter: Teacher! How good is it that we
are here! We will make three tents. One
for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.
They were frightened
Cloud covered them with shadow
This is my own dear Son - Listen to him!
Looked around, only Jesus was there
Don't tell anyone what you have sen, until
the Son of Man has risen from death
The person of Jesus
Feeding of the 5000
Apostles returned to Jesus
and spoke of what they taught
Many people no time to eat
Let us go off by
ourselves to some
place where we will
be alone and you can
rest for a while
They went
off in a boat
Many people saw them and
knew who they were so they
followed
Jesus got out of the boat
and saw the crowds and
he felt pity for them
Sheep without a shepherd
Taught them
Disciples:It is already very late,
and this is a lonely place. Send the
people away, and let them go to
the nearby farms and villages in
order to buy something to eat.
Jesus: You yourself get them something to eat
Disciples: Do you want us to
go and spend 200 silver
coins in order to feed them.
Jesus: How much bread have you got?
Five loaves and
also two fish
Sit down on the green grass
Groups of 50s and 100s
Took the loaves, looked up to
heaven and gave thanks to God
Distributed it to the people.
Everyone ate and had enough.
12 baskets left of
fish and bread.
5000 ate
Paralysed man
Jesus went back
to Capernaum
News spread
that he was home
Jesus was preaching
to many, where 4
men arrived
They were carrying a
paralysed man to Jesus but
there were too many people
They made a hole in the roof above Jesus
and placed the man laying down on a mat
Jesus saw how much
faith they had, and said
"My son, your sins are
forgiven"
Teachers of the Law: How
does he dare to talk like
this? This is blasphemy!
God is the only one who
can forgive sins!
Jesus: Why do you say such things? Is it
easier to say 'Your sins are forgiven' or
'get up, pick up your mat, and walk'? I will
prove to you then, that the Son of Man
has authority on earth to forgive sins.
Jesus to the paralysed man:
I tell you, get up, pick up
your mat, and go home!
All were amazed and said and
praised God: We have never seen
anything like this!
