Challenge: Students may feel discouraged if they are playing the game poorly
1. Solution: Preface the game indicating that the game's objective is to learn and reflect. Create a comfortable learning environment
2. Solution: Offer extra support and after school tutoring for these students to ensure they are grasping the material
Challenge: Lower SES students will need trained on Chromebooks
1. Solution: Plan this ahead of time as a part of the lesson. Schedule extra time in advance
2. Solution: Create video tutorial demonstrating common user errors on Chromebooks. This lets student become independent learners.
Challenge: Students viewing this initiative as a game and not a learning objective
1. Solution: Creating a reflective assignment after the game to ensure knowledge was retained
2. Solution: Including participation and points as a part of their grade to ensure they are focused.
Challenge: Students with disabilities and ESL students
1. Solution: Review IEP and modify lesson plan to ensure all students can be included
2. Solution: Maintaining open communication with ESL and Special need teachers. Letting these teachers view the lesson in advance.
