  1. What is stress?
    1. Stress is the response to something that posses a threat or challenge to our well being. But its how we deal with it that decides if it becomes harmful to ourselves.
      1. Stress V Stressor
        1. A stressor is the actual act or thing that causes our stress. A persons stressors are always different from one another but generally include loud noises or unpleasant people.
          1. Stress is the actually feeling that occurs when under pressure
            1. Fight or flight
              1. Once under pressure your body responds with there release of chemicals as if you are in a fight or flight scenario.
                1. The quick release allows the body to prepare itself for the ability to either run away from an event or fight whatever the treat may be. Unfortunetly the body also responds in this way when the stress is just oils piling up and not a threat to yiour health at that moment. This means .

                  1. Muscles begin to tense

                                                                            1. Short and daily mediation has been connected with significant improvements in lowering stress

                                                                              1. Deep breathing for about 5 minutes helps to lower blood pressure as well as heart rate, two major factors that cause stress
                                                                              2. Talk to a friend
                                                                                1. Just simply talking over the phone can help you relax and gain a new perspective on your problems

                                                                                  1. Soothing music or well liked music is proven to relax people when stressed out
