    4. mostly Roman Catholic
    5. They wanted Home Rule for ALL of Ireland
    6. Irish Nationalist leader John Redmond
2. Howth Gun-Running
  1. Needed weapons as the UVF already had many from the Larne Gun-Running
    1. weapons from Germany
      1. 1,500 Rifles ans 45,000 rounds of ammunition
    2. on board the Asgard
  2. 26th July 1914
