Trying to find out if somebody is just looking for employment or if somebody is truly hungry and truly looking to get ahead.People looking to get ahead do not limit themselves to having no money, they find a way. People looing for a job and to stay in their comfortzone will always limit themselves. Which camp does the candidate fall into? If they always talk about their limitations instead of being a solution seeker then they are telling you that they are left hand side of the quadrant and theres no point in talking about the right side of the quadrant.What you can do is say, you know what? I thought really similarly because I was limited to a job but as soon as I found people that lived differently instead of me saying what I was limited by I looked at my willingness to grow. Are you somebody that always looks at your current circumstances or are you somebody that actually looks at the way to get things done? Theres no right or wrong answer, I am just curious.HOw they answer, not what they say will tell you everything you want to know.

Mindset around talking to a professional:Drive towards understanding their 'Why', their future plans piece by piece. They might have the desire to want to be in business for themselves,.Eg. A med school student - Q: oh why are you doing that? A: Because I want to help people. Q: Is that how you've always been or do you have an experience around wanting that? A: they might elaborate more. Q: so do you want to work in a practice, or own your own practice? (that's usually when someone answers if they want to work for themselves eventually) Q: So do you want to get others working for you or would you still want to be hands on? (they might say yeah I want to own my own practice, call the shots, take the week off if I want to)That more naturally leads to a connection - 'Oh yeah I totally relate to that, right now I work administration but I own my own business on the side because I just don't want to work for somebody else 40 hours per week for the next 20 years, its just depressing in my opinion'Reason: even if they're a professional earning good money they will not have a 20 year retirement plan, even if they own their own practice, they're still going to be showing up there every day. If they ask 'so what do you do?' then you can make a connection that way talking about the couple you've met and owning something for yourself and why you decided to be mentored, to learn from people who already had the life that you want. When you heard that they had retired young you convinced them to mentor you that you were worth investing in and how incredible its been.

People earning the right to hear the information:If people earn the right to hear what it is that we actually do, despite outside voices and despite the opinions of other people in their inner circle, they're going to evaluate the information that they have received and they are going to look at it a lot more differently they have ownership over it, it is there's and it is nobody else's. they have put in the work and now they have received the information. If people don't earn the right to hear the info and we just give it to them straight out, they don't claim any ownership over it. They will evaluate the information based on past experiences. People need to know that there is a lot more out there for them to learn and we are not just going to tell them 'what' our mentors do because they haven't earned the right to hear that. 'If my mentors have spent all this time and energy creating something, they are not just going to hand it to you, they are going to want to know that you are hungry, they are going to want you to prove that you are serious about learning what they have. You are going to have to show them that you are wiling to prioritize, and to be accountable and to be patient. And how are you going to prove this? you go through a process.'
