Buddhists believe this principal applies to everything It is the principle of impermanence Everything changes, nothing is permanent Your not the same person as when you were younger, your not even the same person as you were a minute ago You will be different when you are older
Anatta
Buddhists believe that because these things change from one moment to the next, they are an illusion, the 'me' 'I' or 'self' simply does not exist There is no such thing as the 'self'
Dukkah
Buddhists believe we suffer because we constantly try to satisfy the desires of the self When we do not get what we want, we suffer When we get what we do not want, we suffer Even when we get what we want, we will always want again, and so we suffer Nothing is capable of bringing satisfaction
