Visual Arts is a field that covers a range of creative practices that involves the hand, the eye, the intellect and the imagination in conceptualising and creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks, objects and environments. These creative processes reflect the principles, conceptual and expressive concerns of a group or an individual.   It is about self-expression and engaging and responding to the world in a meaningful way.    Visual Arts provides opportunities to stimulate and develop your intellect, as well as engaging your creative imagination through visual and tactile experiences and the innovative use of materials and technology in realising your ideas.    It also encourages the artist to develop an individual voice when it comes to visual language and literacy, which is informed and shaped by studying visual cultures, both past and present.
