    The Noun Phrase
Definition The noun phrase functions as the subject or the object of a sentence. The main component is a noun which becomes the nucleus of the phrase.  Nominalizing verbs through -ing gerund. Examples: Selling is a skill not everyone has. Living abroad sounds very challenging. The new trend in business is Matchmaking. A quick tip: In Spanish, we can think of the work 'ésto/a' to identify the object and so, the noun phrase.
