Resumen del Recurso

Página 1

Salinisation is when the salt left over from evaporation builds up in the soil over time, creating a salt pan.

Using drip irrigation means less water evaporates, therefore less salt is left to build up on the ground. It also results in less water wastage.

Bilharzia is a disease caused by parasites living in ditches and canals. It requires a human intestine to breed in, but often enters other organs, causing inflammation.

It's easy to treat and there are antibiotics. Don't swim or wash in infected water. Educate on the dangers of irrigation channels.
