Resumen del Recurso

Página 1

Trees intercept rainwater on their leaves, which then evaporates. Trees also store water from the ground. Cutting down trees increases the volume of water that reaches the river. Deforestation can also cause soil erosion  so the soil gets washed away. This material ends up in the river which raises the river bed and reduces the volume of water it can contain.
