  • FUTURE SIMPLE WILL
  • The future simple is a verb tense that we generally use to express actions or events that will happen later than the present moment.
  • Basic estructures (+/-/?)
  • Postive structure: Subject + Auxiliary Will+ Verb (Infinitive Form) + complement    
  • EXAMPLES: 1.- She will read the newspaper tomorrow. 2.- We will come to school by bus. 3.- You will work very hard. 4.- She will like to sit  in the sun. 5.- We will play in the park next week. 6.- He will watch his son in the race. 7.- The store will be open until seven o’clock 8.- The plant will die because of lack of sunshine. 9.- We will try to arrive on time.  10.- Mr. Green will work with my uncle.    
  • Negative Structure: Subject + Auxiliary Will not + Verb (Infinitive Form) + complement    
  •    EXAMPLES:   1.- She will not go there twice a week. 2.- He will not teach mathematics. 3.- We will not go to the movies next weekend. 4.- She will not play the piano. 5.- She will not kiss me every morning. 6.- You will not watch television. 7.- He will not carry the books in a briefcase. 8.- He will not enjoy his English class. 9.-The bus will not stop at the corner. 10.-She will not want to learn French.      
  • Questions Auxiliary will + Subject + Verb (Infinitive Form) + complement
  •   EXAMPLES: 1.- Will I be a good student? 2.- Will we be old friends? 3.- Will he be your husband? 4.- Will the pencil be on the desk? 5.- Will she be absent from class tomorrow? 6.- Will the sky be clear? 7.- Will the child be in the garden? 8.- Will it be a pleasant day? 9.-Will she be here tomorrow? 10.- Will he be a businessman?    
  • POSITIVE CONTRACTION: Structure: Subject (contraction) + Verb Infinitive + Complement 
  • EXAMPLES: 1.- They’ll be good friends for many years. 2.- He’ll be in his office. 3.- We’ll be busy next week. 4.- It’ll be a good movie. 5.- We’ll be married. 6.- He’ll be a happy child. 7.- She’ll be a stranger to him. 8.- He’ll be at the beach tomorrow. 9.- She’ll be a pretty woman. 10.- He’ll be a good swimmer.    
  •     CONTRACTIONS POSITIVE I will: I'll  You will: You'll  He will. He'll  She will: She'll It will : It'll We will: We'll  They will. They'll                    
  •   NEGATIVE CONTRACTION Structure: Subject+ won't + Verb (Infinitive Form) + Complement                      
  •       EXAMPLES: 1.- It won’t open at ten o’clock. 2.- She won’t smoke a lot. 3.- They won’t play chess. 4.- It won’t begin at nine o’clock. 5.- She won’t need to speak English in order to get a better job. 6.- He won’t cry because his toy is broken. 7.- She won’t fix the mistake. 8.- She won’t call me tomorrow. 9.- We won’t see you in the morning. 10.- He won’t give you the money tomorrow.            
  • Will and conections between ideas  Structure: Subject+ Will + Verb (infinitive form) + Connection between ideas 
  •             EXAMPLES:   1.- I will help you with your homework and also to clean your room. 2.- I will study in France meanwhile I will not see my family. 3.- They will go to the movies and to dinner. 4.- I will visit my best friend although I will not stay with her for a few days. 5.- We will go on a trip and we will visit grandmother. 6.- He will go to the graduation party and the trip. 7.- I will study business and gastronomy. 8.- I will go on a trip and also to work. 9.- I will not read the book even if it is very good. 10.- I will wash the clothes and also the dishes.
