Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?

Editing Software
When editing our preliminary task media product, we were inexperienced and we weren't confident in how we were going to do it. However, when editing our main task media product, we felt that we knew what we should do and how we were going to make it look like it's at a good standard, therefore we were more confident in using it to a more complex degree.

The camera
The preliminary was set out to be a simple task to get us used to working with camera's and editing softwares, however at the time we weren't overly sure how we should go about getting the right camera angles. However, during the main task, we felt we knew what we were going in getting the angles we wanted for the film as we had set out a storyboard with the different shots that we wanted, so when it came to filming we knew exactly what footage and angles we needed.

Researching
For the preliminary, we didn't have to do masses of research in order to produce the film but when we did, we weren't sure whether it needed to be detailed research or research that we got so we knew that basics of it all. However, for the main task film, we had to do a lot of research so we thought that it was best to make sure that it was detailed so that we knew the basics as well as all the additional information. When researching, we found that it's best to make sure that it is detailed, especially when looking into similar products as we would know what goes into a decent film to make it successful.
