    Ghanain Climate- A Closer Look
There are three climates in Ghana, the first, in the north, is the hot and very dry savanna. It gets hotter than the rainforest and with one rainy season per year draughts are common. There are few trees and most are acacia. The second is the hot and wet tropical rainforest area to the southwest. There is about 2m of rain a year, but due to deforestation there isn't much left. The last, home to Accra in the southeast is the quite hot and dry coastal savanna, where it is fairly hot all year, with two rainy seasons. There is tall grass and thick leaved shrubs, and some giant baobab trees.
