Difference between global SC and self-efficacy? (Feltz 1988) Self-efficacy represents a micro level approach; looks at perceived ability to perform specific skills. Sport-confidence (global/macro) concerned with overall performance optimism (trait/state sport confidence).
Bandura (1977) on self-efficacy? Self-efficacy cognitions are situation specific rather than a global personality trait. A performer's perception of their ability to succeed in a given situation at a given time.
Self-efficacy Theory? A model for studying the effects of SC on sport performance, persistence, and behaviour. It effects choice of activity, effort level, and persistence.
