What is a water shed?	It's the high ground that separates two drainage basins.
What are the three stages of a river called? What are its characteristics?	Upper stage: Steep slope, V-Shaped valley, steep sides, narrow floor, no meanders. What is river erosion?	Fast flowing water breaks down material from the sides of the river. Water erosion typically occurs in the upper stage.
What is river transport?	The water stream carries material which it broke down in the upper stage. River transport occurs after river erosion in the upper stage.
What is river deposition?	The transported material leaves the water stream as it reaches the mouth of the river.
