If you add two functions... The derivative of the sum is the sum of the derivatives
If X has a positive exponent... The derivative of x is the exponent times the coefficient(x)to the power of the the (first exponent -1)
If f(x) is square rooted x... The derivative is 1/ 2(square root of x)
If f(x) is 1/x The derivative is -1/(x squared)
General rule for differentiation: if f(x) is x to the power of n, f´(x)= nx to the power of (n-1)
The derived function of cf(x) where c is a constant is... cf´(x)
