magma chamber the area [place] under the main vent that holds magma, the substance that feeds the volcano
volcanic cone a cone/dome made from lava that has cooled and turned to layers of solid [hard] rock. Layers build up over time.
main vent the central [main] channel [tunnel] in a volcano. Magma flows up through the central vent and comes out as lava.
side vent a smaller vent [channel] that branches off of the main vent. The magma chamber feeds magma to both vents (main and side).
parasitic cone a smaller volcano made from lava flowing from the side vent. It is attached [stuck to] the larger volcano.
crater a circular hole at the top of a volcano. Ash, lava and gases escape from [come out of] it.
lava flow molten [melted] lava flowing [moving like liquid] down the side of a volcano
ash cloud a cloud formed from tiny ash particles [very small pieces of something] and gases released [let out] when the volcano is erupting.
volcanic bombs large pieces of lava and rock that are thrown up in the air during an eruption [when the volcano is exploding]
