Low Angle | Camera is low, looking up. Used to convey power & authority. |
High Angle | Camera is high, looking down. Conveys vulnerability, feebleness, hopelessness, or fragility. |
Close-Up | Shows detail/significance of an object or a character's emotion. |
Medium Shot | Shows 1 or more people from knees/waist up. Close enough for the audience to read the character's emotion & body language. |
Dutch Angle / Canted Angle | Tilted, meant to convey confusion, disorientation, or madness. |
Long Shot / Wide Shot | Shows the entirety of the actors' bodies and some of the setting. Could also be used to establish where the entire scene takes place. |
