What do we know about Lord Murchinson when he was young he was handsome, honourable, high spirited, frank and hes a conservative. Now he looks puzzled, in doubt, and anxious. something has obviously happened to him
Why doesn't Murchison not want to get in the yellow carriage? it reminds him of the yellow cartridge that he first say lady Alroy riding in.
What do we know about Lady Alroy? She looks like the Mona Lisa with her mysterious eyes and smile. her beauty comes from the inside, not the structure of her face. rich based on her clothing, and always in grey like the mysterious moon.
How does the use of the word mystery in the story effect the mood? it becomes sort of overused and takes away from the mystery of the story, turning it into a melodrama
How does Lady Alroy's actions convey both foreshadowing and melodramatic overacting? Ladu Alroy goes out of her way to act as mysterious as possible, over playing it at times. This building up makes the reader believe there is some big secret, bot ironically but also expectedly she has no secret at all
How is the writing of this story interesting in terms of narrator and writing style? the story has a fram narrator, or a narrator that starts the story but then is switched out for a different narrator who is often the main character. The story is meta fiction as it is a story about a story and it is self reflective.
What is interesting about the character in the story in terms of there ideas on literature. the characters seem to display advanced literary self consciousness. Lady Alroy is not a mystery herself but instead is wanting to be like a heroine from a book. All the characters reflect on literature styles and stereotypes when talking about the mysteries that unfold
