Simple distallation To obtain a liquid when in a solution. E.g. water from sodium chloride solution
Fractional distallation To obtain two or more liquids that are miscible together (mixed/in a solution together).E.g. water and ethanol from a solution of water and ethanol
Paper Chromotography To separate substances that have different solubility's in a given substance. E.g different inks from a black ink pen
