What is a transform plate boundary? A transform boundary is a plate margin that slides past another. For example, the San Andreas Fault.
How does a transform plate boundary form? Plates are always moving. A transform boundary forms when two plates slide past each other.
What is a divergent boundary? Two plate boundaries moving apart, also known as constructive or tensional plate boundary.
What is a convergent boundary? A convergent boundary, also known as a destructive or compressional boundary, is when two plates are moving towards each other.
On which types of boundaries are volcanoes usually found? Constructive and destructive boundaries, but not transform boundaries.
On which type of boundary are earthquakes commonly found? Convergent boundaries. However, they also occur at divergent and transform boundaries, too.
