  1. Physical Development

    Nota:

    • Split into fine and gross movements Fine - fingers and hands Gross - whole body
    1. Minor
      1. 3 months - Clasps and unclasps hands
        1. 6 months - Can pass a toy from one hand to another. Can reach and grasp toys.
          1. 9 months - Can hold and bite bread crust. Puts hand around cup. Can use rattle or shaker.
            1. 12 months - Points using index finger to objects. Can pass a toy to an adult and release it.
              1. 1-2 years - Picks up objects between thumb and finger (pincer grasp). Can use a spoon to feed. Can hold a cup and drink from it.
                1. 2-3 years - Uses spoon to feed independently. Develops a preferred hand holding pencils and other objects. Can build a tower of seven or more cubes. Can make circular marks and also lines with pencil or paints.
                  1. 3 Years - Can build a tower of 9 cubes. Threads large wooden beads. Holds pencil in preferred hand. Cuts with scissors.
                    1. 4 years - Can use a spoon and fork well to eat. Can dress and undress but not laces, buttons or zippers. Can thread small beads. Can use jigsaws and toys with small parts.
                      1. 5 years - Can thread a large needle and sew large stitches. Can copy name and write simple words. Can colour in shapes. Can use scissors to cut on line.
