Instructions:
Children are to bring pictures of their pets. ( If child does not have pet, he/she can cut one out of a magazine.) On a sheet of paper, have children write a story about their pet. Hang the stories with the pictures on the wall at children's eye leveled so children can share their stories.

Instructions:
Take a bag full of puppies with you to story time. Ask children what they would do with the puppies. Read 'Bag Full of Pups' by D. Gackenbach. Then talk about the jobs the puppies had in the book.Let each child hold the stuffed puppy and tell of the task the puppy may do at his/her home.

Instructions:
Draw a cat without a tail on the poster board. Hang it in bulletin board at children's eye level.Explain to children Bouncer, the cat got him tail caught in the screen and they are going to try to tape it back on in the right spot. Blindfold one child at a time and place tape on his or her tail.(If child doesn't want to blindfolded, do not push issue.)Let him or her walk to poster board cat and place the tail on the cat.
