      2. Theory of language and learning

          1. The sentences and abstract models of language.
            1. Students apprehend the sound system, assign fundamental meanings and to construct a basic grammar.
            2. Language social process
              1. Elaborated in terms of six qualitiesor subprocess.
                1. Considers that language is people in contact including interactions.
            3. Includes the thinking process and students user the tutor as a guide.
              1. CLL has 2 kinds of interactions
                1. Between learners
                  1. Students can exchange affect, intimacy as the class become in a community of learners.
                  2. Between learners and knowers
                    1. Is dependant, the learner tells the knower their target and this help to communicate.
                    2. The interaction here is assertive, tolerant and dependant.
                      1. Combines innovative and conventional activities, like:
                        1. Analysis:

                          • Students analizes the grammar and lexical uses of the language in the transcriptionsmade before.

                            • Represents in a written form the recordings done.

                              • Learners express an idea in L1 and teacher translate it into L2.

                                  • Students listen to a techer´ s monologue involving elements listened in the class.

                                    • Students express their points of veiw and feelings about the activity and topics treated.

                                      • Could be between teachers and students or students to students, including the topics learned.

                                  2. Design: doesn´t use conventional language syllabus.

                                    Nota:

                                    • Procedure The teacher organize and develop the activities with students ubicate in small groups encouraging students to participate orally to record the conversations and later use these for writing, listening and other conventional activities.
                                    1. Grammatical points, lexical patterns and generalizations will sometimes be isolated by the teachers for more detailed study and analysis.

                                      • Techer´s role is to respond calmly and nonjudgmentally and in a supportive manner. Also have to solve "personal learnings conflicts" like anger, anxiety and similar psycological disturbance. (J. Rardin, in Curran 1976:103)
