3 Factors which are important in creating a play environment within an early education and childcare
  1. curriculum for excellance
    1. adult should be aware of where the child is developmentally
      1. adult should know what progress the child has made
        1. should know what they have already achieved so that they can help and encourage the child to achieve the next step
          1. there should be plans set in place which meet the learning, play, social and emotional needs of each child
            1. child'd development could be delayed if they are learning through a curriculum below their level of development and leaning needs
          2. children's interests
            1. children should be involved in planning what they are going to be learning
              1. children need to be interested in what they are learning otherwise they will get bored and learn nothing
                1. children are much more likely to learn if they are learning about something they are interested in
                  1. children enjoy being included in planning
                    1. adult should be aware of child's interests so that they can plan around what they enjoy
                      1. being aware of the child's interests means that they can be provided with things that are centred around their interest
                        1. e.g. toys, books and stories, picture books, puppets, role - play, the child could be involved in creating a display
                          1. child could draw or paint pictures of their interests
                            1. monkeys, dinosaurs, sharks etc.
                    2. resourcing
                      1. must be aware of what resources will be needed in areas of the environment or for activities
                        1. without the resources needed the child may not be able to fully enjoy their play experience
                          1. must be aware of the setting's budget
                            1. going over the budget could mean that the setting is left without enough money to provide other resources for the child's play environment
