            • - Echo Sounders are used to     locate fish - Motorised cranes & winches    haul huge catches - Huge nets catch tonnes of fish at a time

            2. If fishing continues at the current rate, fish stocks will collapse in 50 years
              1. What is being done to save our fish stocks?
                1. Fishing fleets have been reduced
                  1. Quotas

                    Nota:

                    • Have been set by the EU. These quotas limit the amount of fish countries can catch each year
                    1. Fishing for endangered species is forbidden
                      1. Fishery Protection Vessels

                        Nota:

                        • Patrol the coast to prevent illegal fishing from foreign trawlers
