When exercising very hard, the heart cannot get enough
oxygen to the muscles. Respiration then becomes
anaerobic.
Aerobic
When the body is at rest this is aerobic respiration.
As you exercise you breathe harder and deeper and
the heart beats faster to get oxygen to the muscles.
Key Terms
Vital Capacity
The maximum you can
forcibly breathe in and out
Tidal volume
During normal breathing the total amount
breathed in and in one cycle
Cardiovascular
Key Terms
Stroke Volume
The amount of blood
leaving the hear each beat
Cardiac Output
amount of blood
pumped out the
blood per minuet
Systic blood Pressure
The Pressure when blood is
being pumped out the body
Heart Rate
The number of times the
heart beats per minuet
Long term effects of exercise
Increased Cardiac Output
Lower resting Heart Rate
More blood is pump out the
hear in on contraction
Increased Stroke Volume
Heart Hypetropy
Rduces chance of corner heart disease
Short Term effects
Increased Blood
Pressure
Blood Shunting To
working Muscles
increase in heat rate
Diet
LDL
GOOD :)
Low density Lipoprotein
HDL
This is caused by having a high saturarated fat diet
This Causes cholesterol to build up in the arties and cause high blood pressure
