Lesson 2: Density
  1. The density of a material will always remain the same
    1. e.g. If you cut a material with a density of 3g/cm^3, each piece will still have a density of 3g/cm^3
    2. Water has a density of exactly 1 gram per cubic centimeter
      1. Objects that float have a density of under that of water
        1. Objects that sink have a density of over that of water
          1. Objects that are suspended have a density equal to that of water
          2. Equations for Density
            1. Density = Mass / Volume
              1. Mass = Density * Volume
                1. Volume = Mass/ Density
                2. Definitions
                  1. Density- the property of matter that relates mass to volume for any particular material
                    1. Mass - the quantity of matter in an object
                      1. Volume - the amount of space an object takes up
