Race- some ethnic groups have a particular interest in a sport.
Age- Different sports are targeted at different age groups. 70+ years old might prefer golf or boules to sprinting
Disability- Disabled people will take part in sports that can be adapted to suit their needs or disability like wheelchair tennis

Availability - are sporting clubs available for you to attend?
Access - Are the facilities or is the equipment easily accessible by the performer
Cost, Age requirements, physical barriers
Time - Does the person have the time to take part in sport?
Location - Is the sporting facility close or far away from where you live?
Health and Wellbeing and Socio-economic
People in good health will be well motivated to participate in sport. Even a cold can discourage us from being active.
